Louise Purcell (Fundraising Manager)

Remembering the past, helping with the future

I was born and bred in Portsmouth and i have been working with Veterans for around 25 years now. I was the RBL Poppy appeal organiser Portsmouth for 11 years raising around £1 million over that time in that role. I am involved with many large events organising Veterans alongside my husband who is Parade Marshall for the City. My husband is a Falklands Veteran suffering from PTSD from being on HMS Sheffield during the Falklands war.

I received the Civic Award/medal from Portsmouth City council in 2012 fir my services to Veterans and charities in Portsmouth.

Fort Cumberland is also close to my heart as my Dad was one of the original Fort Cumberland Guards in the 1970’s.

I am proud to now be part of the great team of FVUK at Fort Cumberland and will be actively promoting and raising well needed funds for this Charity.
